Starting afresh

After many years potting I've had to stand down from the potter's wheel, put the lid on the kiln and shut the workshop door.  In the last year I've been printmaking and it's been immensely absorbing.  Lots to learn though.  Transferring 3D skills in design and production to a 2D medium is demanding and requires a lot of rethinking.  It makes me appreciate more and more the knowledge, technique, skill and
talent required to produce a really good print.

 Vessels 1 -    2 colour reduction print - Lino.

I produced this at Leeds College of Art - p/t printmaking course.  My first linocut there.  I couldn't quite give up on the ceramics though!  It was to have been a 3 coloured reduction print, but I quite like it as it is.  I did it in 2 colour ways.  May come back to this simple design again - touch of the Patrick Couldfield's I think.....
